  1. Read through the journal on the Research Paper: ‘Language Laboratory: A Paradigm Shift’ by Surendrasinh Gohil and Sunil Shah.It gives a clear introduction about the use of technology, in language learning classes, in a clear chronological order. They have given a detailed comparison between the analogue labs vs the digital labs. The difficulties that are being faced by the learners and the teachers have been anlysed thoroughly. However the conclusion was not succint.I was eager to find if any solution was provided, to overcome the stumbling blocks that caused the paradigm shift that they had analysed.Yet it does serve the use of getting to know the history of Language Labs in short.

  2. The language laboratory plays an important role in the language learning process.  As it is a technological aid for learning, it has a number of advanced facilities that can help a student to learn a language with proficiency to communicate.  It has become inevitable in today’s context but, at the same time, it poses certain challenges.

  3. It was interesting, exploring the Globerina software in our lab. This is my first experience, using the language lab to work on Eng learning activities.I enjoyed it.It was intriguing to take the test as well.Did'nt score too well, but was not bad either.

  4. Interesting that the first talkie was shown in 1926 and Indian cinema is already celebrating 100 years of film making with its first ever (silent) film being " Shri Pundalik" released on 18th May, 1912.. Getting back to the subject of lang-lab, the authors of all 3 articles have worked on the common goal of exploring, in detail, its history..while the first two links are descriptions with repetitions, the material in the third link is precise, letting readers in for brief history, equipments and tools handled in lang. teaching thru labs.. It also explores theories, methodology and approaches on which these labs are based.. One point that is agreed in all 3 papers is that recording machines are effective in reinforcing language use through repetition drills though drills are not a sought after technique in modern second language learning..pls comment

  6. These articles on Language Laboratories helped me to broaden my way of thinking about Language Labs. I personally found them very relevant in nowadays. I also changed my mind set regarding these laboratories thinking that their role is not so important in this present era. I regret to see that these Laboratories are found only in the urban set up not in the rural set up which is a bane for the students from the rural areas. On the whole they play a vital role in the present context.

today , there no doubt about language lab takes an effective method for teaching , but , teachers should accept one thing that is new gadgets are provided for teaching and make the students to be participated with it not to be it's security always , then only dream of teaching through language lab is possible for ever,at the same time every government wants to take it's effort until the last corner of the country without fail of providing fund.
